Grade 10 is the final year of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP Year 5). Students sit the IB MYP eAssessment, a computer-based on-screen exam marked across four criteria: Knowing and Understanding (Criterion A), Investigating Patterns (Criterion B), Communicating (Criterion C), and Applying Mathematics in Real-Life Contexts (Criterion D), each worth 8 marks.

Mathematics is offered at two levels. Standard prepares students for IB Diploma Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation. Extended is recommended for students targeting Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches at SL or HL. The curriculum covers six units: Number, Algebra, Functions, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics and Probability.

Frequently asked questions

MYP Year 5 is the final year of the Middle Years Programme, typically for ages 14–16 (equivalent to Grade 10). It carries higher stakes than earlier years — external on-screen eAssessments in core subjects, the Personal Project (a yearlong independent inquiry), and DP placement decisions often hinge on this year's results.
Not directly. The Personal Project is school-supervised, not externally tested, so we leave that to your supervisor. gradeperfect.in concentrates on the academically assessed subjects (starting with Mathematics) where graded mock tests genuinely move the needle. For Personal Project guidance, lean on your school; for subject practice and 1–7 scored mocks, use this site.
Start unit-by-unit practice from the beginning of the academic year — don't save it all for the final term. A typical strong cycle: one mock per unit during the year, full-length mocks in the last 8–10 weeks. Early scored practice flags weak criteria (often C or D) when you still have time to fix them, instead of discovering gaps the week before eAssessment.
