Our ACT score calculator is a free, accurate, and easy-to-use tool designed to help students predict their ACT scores. This ACT score predictor uses official ACT scoring tables to provide accurate score estimations.
Simply enter the number of correct answers for each section (English, Math, Reading, and Science), and instantly see your predicted ACT section scores and composite score out of 36.
Whether you're taking practice tests, reviewing your performance, or setting score goals, this ACT score calculator gives you immediate, reliable feedback on your test performance.
The ACT is scored on a scale of 1 to 36 for each section:
Your composite score is the average of your four section scores, rounded to the nearest whole number. This is the score that colleges typically consider.
Example:
If you score 28 in English, 30 in Math, 26 in Reading, and 27 in Science, your composite score would be (28 + 30 + 26 + 27) ÷ 4 = 27.75, which rounds to 28.
ACT uses a conversion table to convert your raw score (number of correct answers) to a scaled score (1-36). The conversion varies slightly between different test forms to ensure fairness across test dates.
Highly competitive for Ivy League schools. Strong candidacy for merit scholarships.
Competitive for top-tier state universities and selective private colleges.
Meets requirements for many four-year colleges. Eligible for scholarship programs.
Accepted at many colleges, may need stronger extracurriculars or GPA.
Consider retaking the ACT, focusing on test prep, or exploring test-optional colleges.
